Cheerful Hands Inc., is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was founded by Shaunya Freeman on February 3, 2021. Cheerful Hands focuses on providing the elderly with daily essentials. In 2013 Ms. Freeman became a personal care aide. While performing her duties she noticed many senior citizens had limited resources including food, toiletries, clothes, and small medical equipment. Ms. Freeman would bring items from home and go to local churches to try and assist them but it just wasn't enough. Her passion to meet the needs of elderly citizens lead her to start Cheerful Hands Inc., Allowing her to get the community involved in making sure no seniors, disabled, or homeless individuals, would go without basic necessites.
Cheerful Hands Inc., is on the lookout for seniors who have limited resources and can benefit from the services we offer. The "Tokens of Love" care packages provided by Cheerful Hands consist of food and toileries and are delivered to individuals free of charge. As funds allow us we also assist with the purchase of medications, past due bills, and small medical equipment. The more we assist our elders the longer we can keep them happy, healthy, and living a little longer. In 2021 we were able to feed and assit over 2000 individuals. In 2022 we were able to feed and assist over 7000 individuals. We plan to contiue our work and reach even more people with the help of our sponsors, donors, friends, family, and the community. With your help we can continue to make a differnce in our senior citizens lives.
